News of the death of Dr Michael Mosley has been met with an outpouring of grief – both from fans of the TV doctor and his friends and colleagues.
Now, one photographer who worked with Dr Mosley “a week or so” before his death has shared what are thought to be the final images of the TV medic. And, photographer Billie Charity has revealed that he was “warm, kind and completely lovely”

The three black-and-white pictures were shared to Billie’s Instagram account yesterday (June 9).
The first shows Dr Mosley smiling straight into the camera. Meanwhile, the second sees him laughing, holding his hand to his chin. The final photograph show the father of four with his finger to his lips, giving a knowing smile.
Billie captioned the pictures: “I’m utterly heartbroken to hear the news of Michael Mosley’s death this morning. Like so many, I have been praying for his safe return over the last five days.
“He has long been a hero of mine and photographing and chatting with him at @hayfestival a week or so ago was an absolute highlight for me – a real joy.
“He was warm and kind and completely lovely and he was such fun to photograph. Sending so much love to his wife and children xxx.”
‘At some point these will be a comfort to his family’
Followers soon flooded the comments section with their condolences.
“It’s heartbreaking news. I’ve been thinking of him since I heard the news he was missing. Very sad indeed. Beautiful portraits of Michael. Thinking of all his family and friends,” said one.
Another added: “Desperately sad news, a genuinely lovely man. Beautifully captured photographs.”
“Wonderful images to remember him by,” another commented.
Another said: “Wonderful photos. At some point I can imagine that they will be a comfort to his family. RIP.”
